We'll come to your home or workplace, take the electronics off your hands and handle the responsible recycling from there.
Qualifying devices are valued at pickup, with payment sent straight to your account via DuitNow on the same day.
You don’t need a room full of e-waste. Free pickup can start from just 1 working device or 3 qualifying non-working devices.
Qualifying collections are free, so there is no driving to a recycling centre and no transport to arrange yourself.
Collected electronics are directed toward appropriate reuse, recovery or recycling through an authorised collection centre.

From one idea to 2.5 million kg of e-waste
BERNAMA told the full ERTH story: from the problem identified in 2018 and ERTH’s launch in 2019 to a nationwide reverse-logistics model built around convenient collection, covering Pos Malaysia access, instant DuitNow rewards, corporate services, ESG support and data-destruction certificates.
The ERTH revolution reached New Straits Times
New Straits Times published this syndicated BERNAMA report on ERTH, following the company from its beginnings through free home and office pickup, DuitNow rewards, B2B services, refurbishment and expansion into Klang Valley, Penang and Johor Bahru.
The Star asked how Malaysia can get more people recycling
ERTH founder Mohamed Tarek El-Fatatry was brought in as an industry voice on why traditional drop-off models struggle, and why free doorstep pickup, free postal delivery and financial incentives lower the barrier to recycling.
Can saving the planet be a profitable business?
BFM dedicated a 35-minute Open For Business interview to ERTH’s business model, from its 2019 founding to surpassing 1,000,000 kg of e-waste diverted, and what followed backing through the Khazanah-supported Gobi Dana Impak Ventures Fund.

What happens after we collect it?
Every collected device follows the same four stages at the recovery centre.
Device breakdown
Devices are taken apart so batteries, boards, metals, plastics and glass can be separated.
Materials sorted
Metal, plastic, glass and boards are separated so each can follow the right process.
Resources reused
Metals are recovered for reuse; plastics and glass are processed for new products.
Safe final route
Anything not recoverable goes through suitable treatment or responsible disposal.
What’s the difference between e-waste disposal and recycling?
Getting rid of an old electronic device and recycling it are not quite the same thing. Here’s the difference.
Gets rid of the device
E-waste disposal means throwing unwanted electronics away, usually with general rubbish or in places where they can eventually end up in landfill. This gets the device out of your home or office, but valuable materials inside it are lost, and harmful substances can end up affecting the soil, water or environment.
Recovers what can still be used
E-waste recycling gives unwanted electronics a different route. Devices are collected, sorted and taken apart so useful materials such as metals and plastics can be recovered and used again. Parts that need special handling can also be separated instead of sending the entire device to landfill.
Everything to know
before pickup.
Anything else, message the ERTH hotline on WhatsApp at +60 14 2211446.
View all FAQ →Is ERTH e-waste pickup free?
Free pickup is available when your order includes at least 3 listed devices. If you have fewer than 3 listed devices, the pickup fee is RM50. For example, 3 listed phones, laptops or other listed electronics in one collection request qualify for free pickup.
How much can I get paid for working electronics?
Working devices can earn RM10 to RM500, depending on the device, specifications and condition. Laptops and CPUs range from RM15 to RM350, while Gaming, i7 and Apple 2015+ devices can reach RM500. Working monitors, projectors, TVs and smartphones range from RM10 to RM25. T&Cs apply.
Can I still get paid for non-working or scrap electronics?
Yes. Non-working devices can still have recycling value. ERTH offers up to RM15 for servers, RM10 for laptops, CPUs and all-in-one computers, RM5 for selected phones, tablets, TVs, monitors, projectors and cartridges, and RM2 for printers. Cables and wires are valued at RM1/kg, mixed e-waste at RM0.50/kg. T&Cs apply.
How do you decide whether my device counts as working?
ERTH can test the device directly, or you may be asked to provide video proof through WhatsApp showing that it works. Under the current cash-reward terms, a device is considered “working” when it is less than 5 years old and meets the required working condition.
How will I receive my cash reward?
Cash rewards are paid cashlessly, so you do not need to collect physical cash. Payment options include bank transfer, DuitNow, GrabPay, Touch ’n Go eWallet, BigPay and Boost.
Can I drop my electronics off myself?
Yes. ERTH has a 24/7 drop-off point in Cyberjaya, so you can bring your electronics yourself instead of booking a collection. ERTH also has public collection boxes available at selected locations.
What electronics do you accept?
ERTH collects computers and storage, phones and tablets, TVs and displays, printing equipment, and the cables, chargers and accessories that go with them. Broken, damaged, cracked, incomplete, bulky and hard-to-pack items are all accepted. See the full list in the electronics we collect.
What if my device is not listed?
Send us a photo on WhatsApp and our team will check it for you. Unlisted electronics are generally accepted as mixed e-waste.
How does booking work?
Fill in the one-minute form or message us on WhatsApp with what you want to clear, its condition, the quantity and your pickup location. ERTH confirms the arrangement, then comes to collect.
Do you collect from businesses?
Yes. ERTH manages one-time, bulk, recurring and multi-location workplace collections, with data destruction on request and ESG reporting support. The ERTH Black Box is available for ongoing workplace collection.
What happens after you collect my electronics?
Devices are assessed, then taken apart so batteries, boards, metals, plastics and glass can be separated. Recoverable materials are reused, and anything that cannot be recovered goes through suitable treatment or responsible disposal.
Do you collect large electronics too?
Yes, but some bulky electronics have an additional collection fee because they require more handling. Items such as CRT devices, air conditioners and TVs larger than 50 inches are charged RM50 per unit for pickup.
Can stairs affect how much I get paid?
Yes. The standard cash reward assumes ERTH can collect from the ground floor or a floor accessible by lift. If the team has to carry items down stairs, the reward may be reduced: 1 floor 25%, 2 floors 50%, 3 floors 75%, 4 floors 100%, meaning no cash reward. If your building has a working lift, this reduction does not apply.
Can ERTH cancel my pickup?
Yes. ERTH’s terms state that a pickup may be cancelled when necessary, including when a collection cannot be fulfilled by an available Hero. If you have an important deadline, such as moving or clearing a property, share it when you make your request.
Can I ask for my electronics back after ERTH collects them?
If you need an item returned after collection, a return transport fee plus RM250 per item will apply. It’s best to double-check that you’re ready to part with the device before pickup.
What happens to my data?
Remove your personal data and factory-reset before handover. ERTH then performs a second wipe with specialist software at HQ, and certified data destruction with a certificate is available on request.
